According to the M.A.C Cosmetic press release, with the help of props, makeup, prosthetics, wigs and sets, artist Cindy Sherman embodies this Power of Transformation—from off-kilter Hitchcock heroine to fresh corpse, Caravaggio portrait to Park Avenue plastic surgery maven – all elaborate exercises in trying on different personas.

The Cindy Sherman for M.A.C collection will be available in stores from September 29, 2011 - October 27, 2011 prices range from $14.50 - $38.00 for lipstick and eye shadow, respectively.

M.A.C Cosmetics, Makeup Art Cosmetics, was founded in Toronto, Canada by Frank Toskan and Frank Angelo in 1984. The first M.A.C store opened in 1991, in Greenwich Village, New York. M.A.C. products were initially created for professional make-up artists, but are now sold to consumers worldwide. Estée Lauder initially acquired an interest in M.A.C in 1994, then completed their acquisition of the company in 1998.
Five Cindy Sherman's have sold for more than $1 million at public action and in 2011, Sherman, Untitled, an important work from her Centerfold series sold for nearly $4 million at Christie's NY.
